Christmas in a hotel

I love Christmas but after all the preparations, running, hard work we often joke about that next year we won t celebrate Christmas at home, we will cut all the rush, endless shopping, ruined Christmas cakes and guests, we will just take our bathing suit and credit cards and go someplace warm and have a nice,  Christmas in a hotel room just the tree of us.
Of course this is just fantasy, we would never trade our Christmas for nothing, but seeing this fabulous interior arranged by a couple who were "forced" to spend their Christmas in a hotel suite, I am having second thoughts again, after all home is not a house, home is not a country, not a physical place, home is where we are all happy. Merry Christmas!

We have lots of books, lots with sentimental values for both me and my husband since they are family heritage, but since the eBooks appeared I was wondering what will happen with all our books,  for sure we can t leave it as inheritance to my son since I doubt he would like to have lots of old, dusty books...
When I saw these ingenious book statues made by PaperStatement  I was relieved, books can be saved, even if nobody will read them, they can be transformed into something beautiful and meaningful. :)

I already had dinner in a church that was converted into a very nice restaurant in Amsterdam,  I also shopped cloths in a church transformed into a shop, I saw churches functioning as hotels also in the Netherlands and some people found their home in  abandoned churches.
