winter haze

Casa do Conto

I really love this hotel, it has everything I like: lots of concrete surfaces, simple, clear forms and colors... Too bad I didn't know about when I was last time in Porto... But maybe next time, but until that please check in

todays source of inspiration: Genevieve Bennett

My new project is about a minimalistic Moroccan interior, very interesting and challenging job I found a great resource for it in Genevieve Bennett s works, she has most amazing patterns I have ever seen!

in retro-industrial light

Today's discovery on Etsy, I love these retro-industrial lamps! More cool stuffs from Earth sea warrior

minimalistic interiors from Africa

Africa is one of my favorite source of inspiration, their combination of rough and natural materials; like concrete, earth, metal, cotton just fascinates me.
I found some great examples of minimalistic interiors on Iwan Baan s site. Some outstanding works, both as photographs, both as architectural values.

Celapiu

playful white

A great example that white has endless possibilities in interior design, well, if you know how to play it right of course ;)
Hector Ruiz Velazquez is for sure a master of these minimalistic games in white.

lamp or table?

I went to Portugal a few months ago so I discovered lots of ingenious design products there. Rui Alves lamp-tables are one of my favorite.

dar kawa

On cold rainy winter days, which we have plenty here,I eat chocolate, beside rain we have plenty of good chocolate also here, so I am not complaining of the rains that much anymore; or/and I am planning my summer holiday, that could also sweeten my days, this year I intend to visit Morocco so I am looking for hotels and for things to see, do etc. Dar Kawa is on my list!

the exchange

I am living in Belgium, but so much in love with Holland, especially with  Dutch design, I juts love their sense of simplicity but practical in the same time! I found an interesting example of Dutch style, a hotel where all the rooms are literally dressed up! Want a room in Amsterdam?

LutSky wc

I am in love with concrete floors, rough concrete surfaces. I find a very nice example of how versatile concrete can be, combined with minimal style sanitary objects and opaque glass.
Ukrainian design is not so well known but  Umbra design is certainly an example of quality design.

urban-Berber

Some more jewelry inspired by Berber culture, this time antique metal beads combined with my cold season favorite cotton stripes, the look is a bit wild but comfortable as usual, so I would call it "urban-Berber"

re-cup

I rarely trough away broken cups, vases etc. because how could I? our objects form a symbiosis with us, because our objects tell our whole life. They tell funny or sad stories about our rushes, fights, clumsiness. Just like these porcelains designed by the talented Belgian designer Lucile Soufflet .
Too bad she made it just a limited edition of these.

Morrocan inspired bed

The southern mermaid

one red bead

When I was a child I was obsessed with colorful beads, I loved making necklaces at the kindergarten, I found yesterday this over sized beautiful bright red ceramic bead so I decided to make something "girlish" with, I really enjoyed it, the result is also quite cheerful, with a bit of naive touch, still I think its just perfect for a summer necklace.

absolut

I don't want to promote drinking, but I find these bottles so ingenious, I had to take a picture of the advertise today at my bus station. Since they are limited edition, I am considering buying one, just for decoration of course! :)

random geometry

I love drawing geometrical patterns while I am thinking, these crazy games of triangles are endless! :) I was so glad when found something similar at  Nama Rococo s wallpaper!

Remiz lamps

Interesting industrial inspired lamps designed by a young Hungarian designer Sára Kele. The extremely light and slim cement lamp-shell has been reinforced with textile, hence they are very resistant and still show the raw beauty of the material.
Every piece is hand-made!
